Dipti Metal Industries: Expertise in High-Strength ASTM A182 F51 Duplex Flanges

Dipti Metal Industries stands as the largest global ASTM A182 F51 Manufacturer in Mumbai, India. ASTM A182 F51 (commonly known as Duplex 2205 / UNS S31803) is a metallurgical marvel, combining the best properties of both austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. This dual-phase structure provides our ASTM A182 F51 Forged Flanges with nearly double the yield strength of standard 316L, while simultaneously offering significantly higher resistance to localized corrosion, especially pitting and crevice attack in seawater and high-salinity solutions.

We supply a massive inventory as the top F51 Flange Stockist in India, catering to high-integrity piping systems globally. Our forging process ensures a precise 50/50 phase balance between austenite and ferrite, which is critical for maximizing mechanical toughness. Whether your project requires F51 Slip On (SORF) flanges for structural lightness or high-pressure F51 Weld Neck (WNRF) flanges for offshore subsea manifolds, our Mumbai facility ensures manufacturing as per ASME B16.5 and B16.47 standards. As a leading F51 Exporter from India, we provide full EN 10204 3.1 certification, confirming the 22% Chromium and 3% Molybdenum chemistry required for elite performance.

F51 Duplex Flanges — Frequently Asked Questions

ASTM A182 F51 and F60 are both Duplex 2205 grades. However, F60 (UNS S32205) is a restricted chemical composition version of F51 (UNS S31803) with higher Chromium, Molybdenum, and Nitrogen content, providing even better corrosion resistance and a higher PREN.

No, Duplex F51 is not recommended for continuous use at temperatures above 315°C (600°F). Prolonged exposure to heat causes embrittlement (475°C embrittlement), which significantly reduces toughness and corrosion resistance. For high heat, austenitic grades like F316H or F347 are preferred.

Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) is a formula: %Cr + 3.3x%Mo + 16x%N. Due to the high levels of Chromium (22%), Molybdenum (3%), and Nitrogen (0.15%), F51 has a PREN of 33-35, compared to ~24 for standard 316L, making it much more resistant to pitting in seawater.
