As a leading GI Pipe Fittings Manufacturer in Mumbai, our product range covers various configurations designed for robust and durable piping systems.

Product Name Description & Application
GI Elbow Used to change the pipe direction, typically at 90° or 45°. Available in standard and reducing types. Essential for navigating pipeline routes around obstacles.
Reducing Elbow Connects pipes of different diameters while simultaneously changing the direction of flow. Simplifies piping design by combining two functions in one fitting.
GI Tee A T-shaped fitting used to divide or combine flow from three directions. Available in equal and reducing sizes for branching pipelines.
GI Cross A four-way connector with one inlet and three outlets (or vice-versa) for complex distribution lines. Used to make four connections at 90-degree angles.
Cross Over A specialized fitting for complex systems, allowing one pipe to 'cross over' another without direct interference, used for special flow direction adjustments.
Reducing Tee A type of GI Tee that allows connection of a branch pipe with a smaller diameter to a main run of a larger diameter.
GI Plug A threaded component specifically designed to close or seal the end of a pipe opening. Prevents leakage and protects the internal pipeline.
Cap Plug Similar to a GI Plug but often used to protect open pipe ends from contamination and damage during temporary stages or when a line is out of service.
3-Way Elbow A specialized elbow that provides three-directional connection points, ideal for compact layouts where multiple branches or changes in direction are required in a small space.
GI Nipple / Barrel Nipple / Tank Nipple Short threaded sections of GI pipe, typically used for joining two other fittings or extending a pipe run by a small amount. Available in various lengths.
GI Union A crucial fitting that allows for easy and quick disassembly of piping sections for maintenance or modifications without having to cut the pipe.
GI Socket / Reducing Socket Used to connect two male threaded pipes together. A reducing socket allows the connection of two male threaded pipes of different diameters.
Check Nut A type of locknut used in threaded pipe connections to ensure firm locking and prevent loosening of threaded joints due to vibration or pressure fluctuations.

Note: All our Galvanized Iron Pipe Fittings are subjected to rigorous quality control to ensure optimal performance and long service life. We also supply other Butt-Weld Pipe Fittings and Socket Weld and Threaded Pipe Fittings in other materials.

Galvanized Pipe Fittings — Frequently Asked Questions

Galvanized Iron (GI) Pipe Fittings are pipe fittings made from steel or iron that have been coated with a protective layer of zinc. This zinc coating is typically applied through a process called hot-dip galvanizing, which involves immersing the fittings in a bath of molten zinc. The galvanization process provides superior corrosion resistance, making the fittings highly durable and suitable for harsh environments where protection against rust and oxidation is crucial.

Dipti Metal Industries offers a comprehensive range of GI Pipe Fittings, including essential components for various piping layouts. Our product portfolio includes GI Elbows (90°, 45°, reducing), GI Tees (equal and reducing), GI Crosses, Cross Overs, GI Plugs, Cap Plugs, 3-Way Elbows, GI Nipples (Barrel, Tank), GI Unions, GI Sockets (reducing), and Check Nuts. These are available in both Butt-Weld and Threaded/Socket Weld configurations, primarily in Carbon Steel and Malleable Iron base materials.

Our Galvanized Pipe Fittings strictly comply with major international and national standards. For galvanization, we adhere to ASTM A153/A153M and ASTM A123/A123M, along with ISO 1461. Dimensional standards follow ASME B16.9 (for Butt-Weld GI fittings) and ASME B16.11 (for Threaded/Socket Weld GI fittings), as well as IS (Indian Standards) and BS (British Standards) where applicable. Threading conforms to BSP, NPT, ISO, and DIN standards. All products are supplied with EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificates (MTCs) for full material and coating traceability.

GI Pipe Fittings are widely used across diverse industries due to their corrosion resistance and durability. Key applications include water supply and distribution systems (potable and non-potable), fire fighting networks (sprinkler and standpipe systems), gas and steam pipelines (for non-corrosive media), industrial air lines and compressors, agricultural and irrigation systems, general construction plumbing, and various industrial manufacturing processes. They are ideal for environments exposed to moisture, soil, or mild corrosive elements.

Dipti Metal Industries is an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer. Our quality assurance process for Galvanized Pipe Fittings is comprehensive, covering both the base material and the galvanization. It includes rigorous visual and dimensional inspections, mechanical testing of the base material, chemical analysis (PMI), strict control over the hot-dip galvanizing process, and specific coating tests like thickness measurement and adhesion tests (per ASTM A123/A153). Hydrostatic pressure testing is conducted on finished fittings to ensure integrity. We provide full material traceability with EN 10204 3.1 MTCs and facilitate third-party inspections (TPI) by globally recognized agencies, ensuring all GI fittings meet or exceed international standards and client project specifications.
